Founding Father of A & W Tax Service

Terry R. Allen, EA was born in Glendale, CA in 1950. He graduated Hoover High School in 1966. Later he attended college at Cal State LA. Mr. Allen has always been fascinated with electronics and technology. Terry has prior experience as a beta tester for Microsoft Windows and Intuit tax software platforms.  In 1983 he was a pioneer for in-house computerized tax preparation. In 1989 he was involved as a beta tester for IRS E-filing services. He achieved his Enrolled Agent designation in 1987. Terry specializes in the area of railroad employees. Mr. Allen was a former Southern Pacific Railroad employee. Terry is known by his clients as someone they can trust to do a timely and accurate job in preparing their taxes.

James R. Allen, EA (Jamie) grew up in the city of Yucaipa and graduated from Yucaipa High School in 1990. He later attended the University of CA Riverside to complete his Bachelors Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting and graduated in 1994. In 1998 James passed the Department of Treasury IRS exam to become an Enrolled Agent. He has worked with his father Terry since 1995 in the same office. James has gained specific experience with regard to investment and financial training over his career. He maintains and monitors the information systems. James has a fun loving attitude towards people and a very passionate interest in technology.

Heather L. Baker has been with AW Tax Service since 2009. Mrs. Baker (Allen) earned her Bachelor’s at Lewis and Clark College and her Masters from City University. She always brings an edge of easiness to the painful tax process. There are few individuals that have her ability to communicate clearly the nuances of tax law and regulations.  She is a great benefit to her brother (Jamie) and her Father (Terry) with her added knowledge, skill set, and kind spirit. Often times when there are unanswered questions she is the sought after expert at AW Tax Service.
