What documents do I need to bring in to my tax appointment ?
Generally ,if your are a new or referred customer, it is recommended that you bring a copy of your last year's tax return. All customers should bring in any income documents received. Examples include, forms W-2, W-2G, 1099-Int, 1099-Div, 1099-R, 1099-SSA, 1099-Misc, etc. It is wise to bring two forms of identification, namely, a California Driver's License, and a social security card. Certainly, obtain all necessary dependent information such as SSN's, DOB's for each dependent your going to be claiming. Remember to retain all property records concerning current year real estate transactions and investments (i.e. closing settlement statements). If you are a current client, other detailed information necessary can be secured by requesting an E-organizer from our home page.
What are your hours of operation?
During tax season (Jan 15th to Apr 15th) we are open six days a week. Mon - Fri we are open for business from 9AM to 5PM. On Saturday we are open from 10AM until 4PM. If you would like to request an appointment you can do so from this website or you can give our office a call. Please, keep in mind that during this time of year there is extremely heavy phone traffic. Normally, your best option is to send us an e-mail during these busy times.
If I move out of state or a great distance away, can I still use your services?
Because of today's technology you can still have us prepare your taxes remotely. There are four ways to send us your tax records and information. 1) You can request an E-Organizer from the home page. 2) You can scan copies of your tax documents and e-mail them to us. 3) You can fax all documentation to our office. 4)Of course, you can always use regular mail. We can then call and schedule a conference to review and complete your return.
Can I elect to have my preparation fees automatically deducted from my tax refund if I choose?
No, we do NOT support bank products. However, we do accept all major credit cards and you can pay via our online website.
How can I file past due / delingquent returns?
Our office can secure a signed power of attorney from you during a tax appointment. This will authorize us as your tax agent to gather information from IRS electronic services. This process usually takes 3- 5 business days. At that time we can determine the information on file with the IRS to assist in preparing back-year returns.
